These processes are both frequent and time-consuming. And then you&#8217;re\u00a0going to\u00a0add a description to\u00a0you\u00a0create that and then\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0when that does, when that is finished, you&#8217;re going to assign it to a\u00a0runbook. And you&#8217;re asking yourself if you don&#8217;t know what is your redundant storage and why is important to you?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Georedundant storage<\/span><\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0copies your data in a storage account,\u00a0synchronously\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">three times<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0within a single physical location in the primary region using locally redundant storage. And even if there is not an event where you&#8217;re failing it over, and then we&#8217;ll just create it. Now that the storage account is created, you\u00a0open\u00a0the storage account, scroll down to geo-replication, prepare for the failover. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I&#8217;m going to head over to our storage account that is\u00a0already created.\u00a0Right\u00a0now,\u00a0we&#8217;re set to locally redundant storage.\u00a0The reason that that\u00a0is each time you do a failover, the replication type is going to switch back to locally redundant storage.\u00a0To move this back to the data center your primary data center from your secondary, you&#8217;re going to want to change that to geo-redundant storage, or the read access geo-redundant storage. Now, this is the same\u00a0exact type of recovery as the storage is for a VM.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0going to copy the exact data to a secondary backup location.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1688a7;\">20:06\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Site Recovery<\/span><\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0helps ensure that your business continuity is up by keeping business apps and workloads running during\u00a0outages. Outages are very far and few in between, but\u00a0in the likelihood that it does happen, you obviously want to be prepared and not have any downtime with if anything, you want the most minimal downtime as possible.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you\u00a0refer\u00a0to the first\u00a0thing,\u00a0we talked about was the cost of an hour as close to $8,000.\u00a0The last year down, the more money you&#8217;re making, the happier it should be.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Site Recovery replicates workloads running on physical and virtual machines, from a primary site to a secondary location. When an outage does occur at your primary site, you failover to your secondary location and access apps from there.\u00a0If it does happen in the likelihood event, but it does answer the primary location is running, then you can fail back to it seamlessly just like we do in a storage account.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Using Azure runbooks, we can automate disaster recovery by using an ARM template, also known as\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Azure Resource Manager<\/span><\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0which\u00a0triggers\u00a0recovery when it detects a VM failure.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">But having the ability to immediately transfer over to a secondary data center\u00a0if\u00a0the runbook detects that the VM is unresponsive or not running properly. That is very huge in minimizing your downtime.\u00a0I want you to understand how much you can automate in your Azure environment with runbooks to keep business up and running as usual, with the reassurance of knowing that if something does fail, it will be very little to no downtime for your environment.
